MARCH/APRIL RECAP
And just like that, we are already in the month of May! It’s been a second since I’ve done a monthly recap, so let’s catch up. We are full in the swing of spring and the seasonal allergies aside, here are the things I’ve been loving.
Movie Nights
There’s something about watching a movie on a projector that brings a novelty to movie nights that I love! And having a full snack spread gives it nostalgic sleepover vibes! It’s even better when you watch old cheesey movies from your childhood. I recently watched old Mary-Kate and Ashley movies with my sister and it was truly healing. I need more throwback movie nights this summer!
Disco Dancing
I’ve had disco music on my mind and was on the search for disco dance night! It is just some of the best music to dance to. When I saw a DJ was coming to town for a night of disco, I grabbed a ticket, put on a sparkle skort (and tennis shoes) and danced all night (well until 11:30 PM). Seriously, some of the most fun I’ve had in a while! My favorite song of the night was probably when they played Dancing Queen by ABBA and everyone in the room was singing it as loud as they could.
Weekend Road trips
I recently visited Knoxville, TN for the weekend and had such a great time! I visited a free art museum, had the best lox sandwich ever at a placed called Potchke. I also spent a lot of my time at antique malls and thrift stores and found some really cute finds! Including a vintage poodle ceramic, of course. It felt nice to do a mini trip and as a bonus we got to stop at a Buc-ee’s on the way which always fills my little Texan heart.
Touching GrasS
Even though my allergies hate me for it, I love getting outside! I went on a couple of hikes recently and spotted a bald eagle, woodpeckers, and cutie little chipmunks. We even spent an afternoon at the zoo on a nice weather day and being in the sunshine and seeing all of the animals was much needed. I’ve been taking every moment I can to take advantage of the nice weather, including rolling out a blanket on the grass in the park and reading.
Some things I’m loving
Coconut Cocktails (If it has coconut, I’m in)
Shopping on ThredUp
Thrifting ceramic figurines (mostly cats honestly)
